WITHOUT REMORSE: Sicario 2 Writer/Director Duo Reteam For John Clark Adaptation

In one of the most brilliant and best moves made in cinema, Paramount is now segueing to prolific screenwriter Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Hell Or High Water) pen the script for Without Remorse, first on the block for the studio’s two developing Tom Clancy adaptations; the other being Rainbow Six. Creed and Creed 2 star Michael B. Jordan is tapped to star in the film taking the mantle as John Clark, a fixture in seventeen of the late Clancy’s twenty-five “Jack Ryan” novels. Akiva Goldsman is spearheading as the main producer. The summer movie season became much more fortuitous in the last several months. Sony Pictures’s campaign for Sicario 2: Day Of The Soldado deliverer a massive second trailer ahead of a June 29 release, signaling an exciting new crime sequel that reintroduces Benecio Del Toro and Josh Brolin to their respective roles in accordance with new plot twists and layers that only up the ante from that of the first film. Sony Pictures Denis Villeneuve’s 2015 crime opus, Sicario, was a solid piece of work from its premiere at Cannes that year through subsequent rollouts in December and following January. It’s sequel has already begun its campaign and already looks to fare just as excellent, if not better this year with Stefano Sollima at the helm, and the brilliant penning of screenwriter Taylor Sheridan to credit once more. For this, we have a June 29 release in store for the newly-titled Sicario 2: Day Of Soldado, featuring stars Josh Brolin and Benecio Del Toro reprising their respective roles as federal agent Matt Graver and underworld enforcer Alejandro.
