The past three years saw plenty of fluctuating news and updates surrounding The Expendables, The ExpendaBelles and as recently as this month, a forthcoming reboot of Hellboy. All three are housed at Millenium Films for which its founder recently sold 51% of his stake in the company for $100 million dollars, and this week, Avi Lerner sat down with THR to discuss the nature of his sale with respect to his career and the current film climate and landscape in which a company like Netflix has dominated in snatching up independent titles at the film markets, among other things. Isaac Florentine Hails His Return To Acting In The New Antonio Banderas Actioner, STOIC

Action sequences offically wrapped within the past day for coordinator Tim Man in his latest reunion with director Isaac Florentine on the latest Bulgarian production, Stoic. The film shoot ran quietly under the radar over the past several weeks or so until Spanish-language headlines began rolling out with the film’s lead star, Antonio Banderas, going viral a la set pic of a near-slip during some of the film’s action work. Banderas plays a lawyer on a mission to avenge the death of his wife and son, and is joined by a cast that includes actress Paz Vega, Robert Forster, and Karl Urban. Nowadays with the film’s star Antonio Banderas posting on social media, you can expect more English-language sites to finally pick up on the film currently shooting in Bulgaria. The film brings Banderas, in his latest foray into the genre following The Expendables 3, together with martial arts action auteur, filmmaker Isaac Florentine in this, his 15th film. Banderas is joined by Karl Urban (Dredd, Star Trek: Beyond) Paz Vega (Sex and Lucia) for the story of a lawyer desperate for vengenace against the person who murdered his wife and son.
