Amy Johnston Transforms From Student To Badass In New Sales Art For LADY BLOODFIGHT!

This week’s launching of the all-female international martial arts action vehicle, Lady Bloodfight, has officially delivered its first promotional artwork prior to its pending production this Fall. The two posters featuring Hollywood actress, stuntwoman and viral internet martial arts sensation, Amy Johnston (available below the synopsis), come just a little less than a few days after the official Facebook page for B&E Productions announced the film’s presentation at this month’s events at the European Film Market joined by Voltage Pictures.

SYNOPSIS:

Jane is a beautiful but troubled American girl backpacking through Japan, when her raw street fighting skills draw the attention of Oshima, Japanese karate champion, who recruits and trains her to fight in the vicious, all-female, underground martial arts tournament known as “The Kumite”.

After months of rigorous preparation, Jane is ready to face off against the deadliest female fighters in the world, including Ling, the Chinese apprentice of Oshima’s nemesis. But other nefarious forces lie in the shadows, and Jane and Ling will have to unite on a journey that will take them from the gritty underworld of Hong Kong to the glitz of Macao, before deciding who really is the best female fighter on the planet.

In a quote recorded over at Screen Daily, Voltage Pictures stated their eagerness to work with B&E, telling the public “We’re very excited to be working with a talent like Bey Logan and to be filming in China, a burgeoning force in film productions,”. Production is slated to begin this Autumn in China, Hong Kong and Macao with Kiss Of The Dragon helmer Chris Nahon behind the lens, and Temur Mamisashvili scoring the film’s principal action scenes.

Logan is also producing the Spring filming Yuen Woo-Ping’s next directorial follow-up in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon 2: The Green Destiny for The Weinstein Company with a script by John Fusco, with actress Michelle Yeoh reprising her role from the first film along with confirmed Ip Man 3D lead, international action star Donnie Yen.
