'Bullets' Trilogy Star/Director Jiang Wen To Helm Wuxia Finale, THE HIDDEN WARRIOR

Wuxia will be setting the stage once more for another actioner for actor and director Jiang Wen who recently celebrated his twenty-year career in filmmaking announcing his new film, The Hidden Warrior. The film will cap off its 1920’s-set quasi-trilogy beset by the box-office success of its predecessors, Let The Bullets Fly (2010) and Gone With The Bullets (2014), the first which became China’s highest grossing film at the time and spawned numerous awards and nominations. Jiang himself starred in, as well as helped pen both films so far – the first in which he played a bandit leader who moonlights as the governor of Goose Town opposite a local mobster played by Chow Yun-Fat, before paying a 1920’s showman headlining a beauty pageant in Shanghai amid one contestant’s pursuit for the crown.
