The 33rd edition of the Pan African Film + Arts Festival is fast approaching, and that means tickets are already on sale via their official website. The same goes for their 2025 programme which is host to over 200 films across the African Diaspora, including eighty-minute conceptual martial arts thriller, The Order, from directing duo Najah Elessie, and Jonathon Jacobs. THE ORDER Cast And Crew: “We Have Not Given Up!”

Select cast and crew members of upcoming action thriller, The Order, took to YouTube on Friday to give fans an update on the crowdfunded and hotly-anticipated feature length film. The video comes nearly two years since the production launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to give the production the right jumpstart it needed prior to further development that would have hopefully seen cameras rolling by now. I’ll leave it to you to watch the video for all the T’s and I’s otherwise crossed and dotted, but the gist of it is that according to actress and executive producer Karan Ashley, the team reportedly did everything by the book to see its house in order only to see their efforts cut short. I heartfully remember growing up watching Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade as a kid, and seething with excitement everytime the tank chase finale came up. The moment when a soldier gets knocked out by his own periscope after mocking Indy as he’s fighting the Nazis just outside the tank always sticks out as one of the funnier points in the film. It’s also one of those moments in film you can appreciate as time passes. A quick few Google searches will promptly land you at the name Nick Gillard, having succeeded since the late 1970s in stunt performance with an incredible list of titles to his name, although cult fans of sci-fi may take notice of his work as the stunt coordinator for the light saber action in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Select cast members of hit tokusatsu crossover Power Rangers series have had some degree of success in other projects apart from wearing superhero spandex. That said, it’s 2016 and we’ve come into a new era of fandom and support for these actors, many of whom now have assembled an ensemble roster for Hellbinders helmer David Wald in the new action thriller, The Order, which has since undergone an extensive crowdfunding campaign to meet certain ends for the production. Footage has already rolled out in lieu of filmimg with a piping-hot sizzle trailer and several teasers in various forms to help further showcase our cast in full form, and in my humble opinion, all of it sells brilliantly. The past week or more have drawn a bit of uproar over a conspicuous looking promotional image in the form of a triangular glyph. That image has been popping up on various respective fan pages of veteran cast members of the various seasons of Ameritoku hit series, Power Rangers, whilst their admins have all but denied any relation between the two. Of course, that didn’t change the fact that something, indeed, was brewing in the background, and it’s only this week now that the people behind the forthcoming feature-length action thriller, The Order, are officially pulling the curtain to unveil their agenda.
