THE SEVENTH DAY: Guy Pearce To Star In New Exorcism Thriller From ‘Dragged Across Concrete’, ‘VFW’ Producers
Justin P. Lange, director behind the 2018 Tribeca fave, The Dark, is set to direct his own script for exorcism thriller, The Seventh Day. Billed as Training Day meets The Exorcist, Guy Pearce (Memento, Domino) will lead the cast for the tale of a rookie priest whose first day of training with a renowned exorcist plunges them deeper into hell on earth, blurring the lines between good and evil as their own demons emerge. The film hails from Voltage Pictures who launched sales at AFM this week, with Amanda Presmyk (VFW) and Dallas Sonnier (Dragged Across Concrete) producing for Fangoria and Cinestate, respectively, with producers Kimberly Hwang (Lucky) and Chelsea Davenport.
