It was last year as Florida stunt team Genesis Action Stunts founder Anthony Giovanni Elias began emerging a little more prominently into the independent film scene that I caught wind of his participation in a thrilling new shortfilm from Emmy award-winning editor, writer, producer and director Gerald Godbout III. On Tuesday, writer and director Gerald Godbout III premiered the new trailer for his upcoming shortfilm, The Trade. Filmed over the summer, The Trade stars actor and producer Dennis Jusino and Jimmy Dempster in a story about two cousins who get caught up in Florida’s criminal underbelly with the sex business. The mature crime thriller will release sometime in 2014, and also stars Brittany Santos, Fran Rafferty, Michael Opal, Allan Marrero, Justin Larsche and Anthony Giovanni Elias who also serves as the film’s stunt coordinator. SYNOPSIS: Cousins Anthony and Frank have grown up in the streets learning to trust only each other. In and out of Juvenal detention they learned how to work the system. The new teaser trailer has arrived for the upcoming independent feature-length action crime drama, A Dance With The Devil. The footage comes a month after exclusive action footage premiered online back in late July, featuring the film’s co-star, Reko Rivera, and action performer, stuntman and Team Genesis’s own Anthony Giovanni Elias. Starring lead actor, writer, producer and director Danny Vega, the film is an original property from newly established independent filn group, Project Rize, and one of several current projects steamrolling Florida’s brewing independent action film scene as of late.
