The New TRANSPORTER Reboot Starts Production

It might be an emotional process for The Expendables 3 co-star Jason Statham fans who have grown fond of the cockney-accented action cinema badass since leaving a hell of an impression in the first three films of Luc Besson’s Transporter saga began over a decade ago. However, the times have changed and with Statham moving on to other prospects, Besson and his company, so has Europacorp, after announcing its new production partnership with Shanghai-based Fundemental Films last year. Moviehole now reports this week that production has officially commensed on the new prequel trilogy rebooting The Transporter. Fans of the hit action trilogy the The Transporter are still waiting to see what happens next with the upcoming second trilogy to feature Game Of Thrones co-star Ed Skrein. For now, TV viewers will get their delivery of all the action at home when TNT finally broadcasts Transporter: The Series, the long awaited television series based on the hit film franchise later this year, following TNT’s pick up of the first season, as well as the recently-announced season two back in January. THE TRANSPORTER TV Series Delivers This Fall In North America

With a new film trilogy on the way, new reports are saying that Turner Broadcasting Company’s TNT has picked up both the first and second season of Atlantique Productions and QVC Inc.’s televised action series The Transporter. The first season of the series was announced in 2011 and filmed later in the year, prior to its select-airing the last two years in Germany, France and Canada with Cinemax ultimately backing out of the show’s North American distribution.
