SHOCK WAVE 2 Lands Andy Lau On The Run In The Official Trailer

Finally slating a December release, Shock Wave 2 will mark the latest pairing for respective actor/director duo Andy Lau and Herman Yau who worked together on the inaugural 2017 crime thriller, which boasts earnings of up to $63 million dollars at the China box office. New premise and characterization takes shape from a script by Yau and co-scribe Erica Lee, as it centers on Lau as an ex-bomb disposal expert caught in a web of intrigue as he’s framed for terrorism and forced on the run to clear his name. Lau is joined by actress Ni Ni, and actors Sean Lau, Philip Keung, Timmy Hung and Babyjohn Choi.

It’s been a long time since I had seen a Gordon Chan film. Point in fact the last time I did was with The Medallion – demonstrably one of the lesser-impressive Jackie Chan films even for all his Hollywood hype at the time. Still we’re talking about the same guy who brought us the forever-immortalized Jet Li’s 1995-starrer, Fist Of Legend, showcasing a simplistic, clear-cut tale of wartime drama, murder mystery and intrigue, coupled with martial arts action cinema’s best and legendary in film fight scenery. No doubt though these that Chan can hold his own, apart from the complexities and advancements of film along with his own growth. Gordon Chan's Period Epic, GOD OF WAR Gets Cast And Plot Details

Courtesy of MTime We’re more than a month since director Gordon Chan began filming his newest, God Of War, with a report that gave us an early look at actor Vincent Zhao starring. Bona Film Group’s own Yu Dong is producing the film and slowly but surely, just a few more details are finally trickling with several more pictures highlighting cast and costumes. Sammo Hung, his son – actor Timmy Hung, and fellow action legend, Kurata Yasuaki, are joining the new period flick with a script co-written by Chan which forsees Zhao and Hung in the respective roles of Ming general Qi Jiguang and Shaolin Master/General Yu Dayou as they prepare an army to fight Japanese pirates on Eastern coast of China; That’s about as far as the plot goes at this point until further details are finally made clear, but whatever happens, Hung himself will be styling the action […]
