Author Kawahara Reki’s 2009 manga, Sword Art Online was a seed that spawned galaxies of stories that were central to our main heroes, Kirito and Asuna. In 2017, having flourished in its popularity both in anime serial and feature film formats since then, director Ito Tomohiko is back to continue the perilous journey for the new action-packed adventure, Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale. The new film will take place following the events of the second season in 2014 which primarily focused on Kirito and Asuna as they fought to save the lives of players in a new VRMMO shoot ’em up game called Gun Gale Online, from a mysterious serial killer.
