Ed Skrein In Talks To Star In DEADPOOL With Ryan Renyolds

Think what you will of actor Ed Skrein in place of Jason Statham for the upcoming trilogy reboot, The Transporter Legacy. Sure, it’s not Statham, but knowing promise in store for another actor to take the helm in a prequelized setting could open the floodgates for something fresh and even possibly better, particualrly for Skrein‘s career following his stint on Game Of Thrones. For this, we now learn that the actor is currently forging a path through talks with 20th Century Fox for the forthcoming first of the studio’s three planned X-Men universe movies for 2016, director Tim Miller‘s Deadpool, starring Ryan Renyolds. The New Frank Martin Is Action-Ready In The First Official Photo From THE TRANSPORTER LEGACY

There’s still plenty of time to speculate ahead of the March 6, 2015 release of the action-packed origin-centered thriller, The Transporter Legacy. It is the first step into a new trilogy with a new lead actor in the form of former Game Of Thrones co-star, actor Ed Skrein now taking the reigns of franchise character, Frank Martin, played previously by the incomparable Jason Statham, and of course, the fans will no doubt be critical. The film is the second remake effort from Brick Mansions helmer Camille Delamarre, focusing on Martin’s earlier years as a self-employed transporter-for-hire for any and all who could afford him, as well as abide by three main rules. What’s interesting here is that despite taking an origin-oriented approach, the story here will evidently see the character Martin, already in his element (somewhat indicated by previous set footage), which indicates that the new franchise won’t be straying […]

In case you’ve been living under a rock, production is currently underway for Transporter: Legacy, the first in a new trilogy from producers Luc Besson and Mark Gao since their mid-Cannes deal announcement last year. Following the previous trilogy with action star Jason Statham, the new trilogy kicks off with new male lead, former Game Of Thrones actor Ed Skrein in a younger iteration of the franchise protagonist, ex-soldier, underworld courier and mercenary, Frank Martin who is forced to help four women with a heist in order to save his kidnapped father from Russian human traffickers. The new film is being shot on-location in France where new French language-only set video is now available for viewing, courtesy of a new report from Culture Box.
