Unfair

Japanese television makes for a great staple here with one of the latest, long-running franchises now making headway with a trilogy this September for the upcoming crime thriller, Unfair: The End. Author Hata Takehiko wrote the original novel as well as partook in the 2006 series and film adaptations thereafter with actress Shinohara Ryoko leading in most of the franchise which follows a Tokyo detective and her exploits as she uncovers gruesome murders and the cryptik clues that surround them. The series unravels with each clue taking on a life of its own, often exposing political and municipal corruption which heightens the danger as it grows closer to home.
