V.I.P.: Peep The New Trailer And Poster For The South Korean Noir Thriller

The Tiger helmer Park Hoon-Jung’s new film is one for whose plot details get more and more interesting each time you look at it. Looking at V.I.P. which opens this August, we have an official trailer this week that samples a little more of what’s in store telling of an Interpol agent and two lawmen on opposite sides of the DMZ on a mission to catch a suspected serial killer. The Tiger and New World helmer Park Hoon-Jung is back and currently making his case for summer moviegoing thrills with upcoming thriller, V.I.P.. The official trailer arrived as one of several ventures from Warner Bros. Korea and boasting an international scope for its espionage-driven tale with a cast that lists No Tears For The Dead star Jang Dong-gun, along with actors Kim Myung-min, Park Hee-soon and Lee Jong-suk, and an appearance by none other than John Wick: Chapter Two co-star, actor Peter Stormare. HK Filmart 2017: Korean Crime Pic, V.I.P., Lands At Finecut For International Sales

South Korea-based Finecut will be on deck at this year’s HKFilmart for its own slate of titles including, as of this week, Park Hoon-Jung’s new crime pic, V.I.P.. The film marks the third international South Korean production following Kim Jee-Woon’s The Age Of Shadows and upcoming family drama, A Single Rider starring Lee Byung-Hun. V.I.P. stars Jang Dong-gun, Kim Myung-min, Park Hee-soon and Lee Jong-suk and tells of the events surrounding the son of a key politician – a North Korean defector at the center of a brutal crime and the converging paths of a national intel agent, a detective and North Korean cop hunting them down. The film is produced by Park’s own Gold Moon Film and co-produced by Peppermint&company, Inc. This year’s HK Filmart kicks of its four day-event starting March 13.
