Writer and director Clark Duke’s new movie and screen-acting credit, Arkansas, won’t be bowing before SXSW audiences as initially planned. Lionsgate has its own plans though, with an official trailer now running, and a limited theatrical, VOD, Apple TV+ and Amazon release date set for May 1, followed by a Blu-Ray and DVD rollout on May 5. The film appears to be getting a 2018 release hailing a cast that enlists actress Devanny Pinn as the titular alien biological weapon seen as the latest central threat to mankind thanks in part to some skullduggery on the count of corrupt humans. Director Anoop Rangi‘s latest actioner, Assassin’s Game, is set to release on home platforms this May courtesy of Lionsgate. Headlining are actresses Vivica A. Fox and Bai Ling with actor Tom Sizemore front and center although actor and martial arts instructor Mark Mikita is the principle focus of the story while also serving as the film’s fight choreographer. Of course, the title is nothing to be proud of as said distributor here is no stranger to this sort of thing. At any rate, Assassin’s Game presents a nice little trailer to help sell to action fans and it looks pretty good. Not a fan of the narration though. Just saying.
