Voltage will launch international sales on the new feature, Play Dead, from director Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry, My Bloody Valentine, Dracula 2000). The film is currently in post-production and will be on display for distributors at the upcoming Marche du Film at Cannes. Written by Adam Mason and Simon Boys (Blood River, Song Bird, Hangman), Play Dead centers on criminology student Chloe (Bailee Madison) who fakes her own death in order to break into a local small-town morgue to steal a piece of evidence that ties her younger brother to a crime. Just after wrapping Isaac Florentine’s Hounds Of War, actor Frank Grillo is setting sail with occult thriller, Man’s Son. Production kicks off this month in Yucca Valley, California, marking the feature directing debut for noted cinematographer Remy Grillo. Principal photography has since wrapped in Savannah, Georgia on action thriller, Chase, as of May, and with word out of Cannes that Voltage Pictures is repping international rights and will introduce to buyers immediately, with first-look footage to follow shortly. Voltage will co-rep US rights with CAA. Voltage Pictures is officially launching sales this week for Reagan, a new biopic based on the life of the 40th President of the United States.
