Martial arts action star Donnie Yen has been drawing online crowds in anticipation of his next film, Kung Fu Jungle, which opens in Hong Kong and China the weekend of October 30. With new set pics now online accompanying the teaser and recent trailer, fans are ever hopeful that this next psychological pound-for-pound Fall thriller, directed by Teddy Chen will meet expectations. As such, courtesy of international sales agent, Emperor Motion Pictures, the film now is getting an early gig at the 58th annual BFI London Film Festival as a last minute announcement with Yen and actress Michelle Bai also in attendance. Wang Baoqiang Gets The Spotlight In A New Featurette For KUNG FU JUNGLE!

Only about a month and a half away from the upcoming release of director Teddy Chen‘s newest Fall action thriller, Kung Fu Jungle, a new featurette is now going viral showcasing actor Wang Baoqiang. The featurette is a mixed bag of clips illustrating Baoqiang‘s range as an actor, from comedy to action, and merges about fifty five seconds in to share highlights from his upcoming role as the main antagonist of the film. A cross between Bloodmoon (1997) and The Jackal (1997), Baoqiang stars opposite international action sensation Donnie Yen in a story of a convicted killer released from prison to help profile a rogue martial artist killing top masters in the city. Martial arts action superstar Donnie Yen’s latest film finally got some official mainstream poster art for its upcoming release. Directed by Teddy Chen, the new film Kung Fu Jungle had its share of confusing name changes dating back to last year between previous working titles like Last Of The Best, One Person’s Martial Arts Circle and the more redundant of the four, Kung Fu Killer. And this week, we now have a proper trailer that says so, with a lot more to offer on the film’s narrative than seen in previous footage, and should continue to garner further interest. Martial arts cinema fans have something more to look forward to between now and the next few years, thanks to the added efforts of none other than Columbia Pictures. Already adding to the fanfare with Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu co-star, actor Wang Baoqiang‘s expected appearances in three more Donnie Yen action vehicles-director Law Wing Cheong’s two-part reboot epic, Iceman 3D beginning in April and Teddy Chen’s martial arts thriller, Kung Fu Killer in August, we now have word that the studio has begun filming The Monk, with Baoqiang set to lead.
