Ringo Lam's WILD CITY Gets A Home Release This November

Ringo Lam’s latest efforts are currently immersed in the forthcoming Hong Kong historical anthology, 8 And A Half, among a stellar list of directors. In the meantime, fans of his work can look forward to Well Go USA’s release, Wild City, releasing on DVD, VoD and Blu-Ray in just a few months, and hopefully you’ve managed to check out my review ahead of then. I have only seen just several Ringo Lam flicks in my time as a follower of the Hong Kong cinema. That stated, all are taken into account when encompassing the experience of Asian cinema, and with his latest return to the helm, Wild City will surely appeal to the niche after nearly seven years away from the director’s chair. The film follows actor Louis Koo in the role of T-Man Kwok, a former cop who resigns after a failed bust and becomes a bartender. Watch Well Go USA's 14th AFFD Promo!

The 14th installment of the Asian Film Festival at Dallas in Texas is already underway with an awesome line-up of titles for its run until July 23. The program is being hosted by Well Go USA who have just unveiled the trailer for four of its movies which will be included in this month’s event, including high-seas military epic, Northern Limit Line, South Korean gangster flick, For The Emperor, Indonesian fantasy martial arts drama, The Golden Cane Warrior and upcoming Hong Kong crime pic, Wild City. All four titles can be viewed in Well Go USA’s newest promo while other titles, including “Beat” Takeshi’s classic, Violent Cop, and more can be found at the official website’s listed scheduling. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we learn more about director Ringo Lam’s forthcoming eight-part anthological movie retrospective, Eight And A Half, which was announced earlier this year. In the meantime, his latest crime pic, Wild City, is already poised for a Hong Kong release on July 30 with a North American release planned for the following weekend and we now have a trailer circulating the web from the folks over at Well Go USA.
