Wolf Warrior I & II REVIEW: Wu Jing fights for the motherland for the sake of entertainment

Back in the 80’s, this type of movies were made by Americans with Chuck Norris or Sylvester Stallone as action heroes, but now the world has changed and that kind of badass war action films, loaded with cheap cinematic patriotism to highlight all the virtues of the action hero are made in China. Some of them are even produced by the goverment with propaganda purposes. Some are big blockbusters as Wolf Warriors, but others are just low budget productios with zero interest that surfaces in the VOD niche. Nary a word is being said just yet about action star and debut director Wu Jing‘s commando action thriller, Wolf Warriors, which won’t see the light of day until its January IMAX release in China next year. Hopefully though, the film managed to succeed its dealings while gracing the presence of an audience this month at the American Film Market and hopefully fans will get to see just what Wu has in store for this, his second to last performance on film. Besides, any martial arts action fan in their right mind wouldn’t say no to anything as awesome as watching Wu go toe-to-toe with Scott Adkins (Ninja: Shadow Of A Tear), and with any luck, we’ll see how this plays out soon enough in feature-length fashion. Aside from taking center stage on an alluring set of patriotic posters for his upcoming commando action thriller, Wolf Warriors, multifaceted martial arts action star Wu Jing is finally getting his day at the American Film Market next month for his new directorial debut. The film is one of the few final performances from the beloved genre favorite in lieu of mandatory leg surgery which has since put his career on indefinite hold. Wu Jing Stands Proud And Patriotic In New Hi-Res Posters For WOLF WARRIORS

Several new posters have gone viral for the upcoming release of the newly titled commando action thriller, Wolf Warriors, following a teaser which unveiled back in July. Front and center is action star Wu Jing whose stellar career in the world of martial arts film and entertainment has so far led him to this, his solo directorial debut. Unfortunately though, the film may possibly be one of his final contributions to screenfighting upon recently having leg surgery due to career-related injuries which have, at least tentatively, rendered him unable to perform again. That said, having operated on both sides of the camera under the grueling conditions set by the heat last Fall, it’s nice to know that the 40-year old martial arts wunderkind is going out with a bang.
