Long anticipated action film Tiger’s Trigger now has a poster to attribute to the latest goings on with celebrated kung fu cinema laureates, actors Casanova Wong (Warriors Two) and Won Jin (Operation Scorpio). Lee Kang-wook debut directs from his own script, joining the pair with actress Park Ji-hui (Concrete Utopia) who plays a woman caring for mother at a hospital when she stumbles upon a Russian pistol. When shifty cops make their way into the facility to look for it, she is suddenly approached by a taciturn old man (Wong) whose wife also happens to be staying in the same ward. Three years after stirring the pot with a round of set photos from their new independent action thriller, Tiger’s Trigger, we now have a first look teaser that samples the latest goings-on of kung fu cinema stalwarts Cassanova Wong (Enter The Invincible Hero, City Ninja) and Won Jin (Operation Scorpio, “My Name”). The film is directed by Lee Gang-wook and while we don’t have any further information about the project, the teaser certainly reassures the fans their pending fanservice. City On Fire recently began taking notice of the goings-on in Busan as of late with several set photos now online. The pictorals feature kung fu cinema stalwarts Cassanova Wong (Enter The Invincible Hero, City Ninja) and Won Jin (Operation Scorpio) who are revealed to now be shooting Tiger’s Trigger, marking their first on-screen appearance together. More news is to come, undoubtedly, but this is a welcome feat for anyone of the genre, especially for fans of Wong who stands among a pantheon of yesteryear martial arts cinema greats, including Hwang Jang-lee, Moon Kyoung-seok (a.k.a. Dragon Lee), and the legendary Warriors Two and Iron-Fisted Monk co-hort Sammo Hung.
