Asakawa Nana Slays In The First Official, And Very Much Red, Teaser For BLOODY CHAINSAW GIRL: RED
Yamaguchi Hiroki is following up on his 2016 Bloody Chainsaw Girl phenomenon with a rousing J-horror tete-a-tete beginning February 22. As signaled by the official teaser now online, Bloody Chainsaw Girl: Red is the name and with both parts respectively titled “Nero’s Revenge” and “Giko’s Revival”. As the gist of the manga tells it, delinquent middle-school Giko is armed with a chainsaw and has a score to settle with Nero, a mad scientist whose sick and twisted experiments have all but turned Giko’s friends into zombies and super-powered mutant creatures. Mangaka Mikamoto Rei inspired the 2009-2017 series which Fukuhara Mitsunori adapted for Yamaguchi’s first adaptation in 2016. Actress Asakawa Nana claims the role of Giko opposite Ano playing Nero – previously played respectively by actress Uchida Rio and Yamachi Mari.
