Debut director, writer and producer Tony Clomax‘s new indie action thriller, Broken Angels is on its way to New York City for the Urban Action Showcase & Expo on November 8, 2014. It’s another low budget entry into the genre for its chosen audience, although I wouldn’t underestimate it the least bit. The dialogue is quite ballsy and the action performance caliber from its amalgam of male and female screenfighting leads leave some noteworthy potential.
Independent contractor Bobby Cheeks is sanctioned for death after he gets caught in an illicit affair with Maia Caligula, mafia capo Dominic Caligula’s young trophy wife. Dominic orders his crew, lead by Francesca Morro, to carry out Bobby’s death. Bobby meets the threat head on with the help of an estranged war buddy and MMA fighter Mike McKenzie.
Executive producer, stuntman and lead actor Jeremy Sample is joined by actresses Teniece Divya Johnson and Lian Toni Amado, and actors Daniel O’Shea and Stephen Hill, with actor and stuntman Marcus Taylor also starring and directing the action.
