THE DEADLINE: Don’t Miss The Trailer For Tong Hui’s One-Shot Period Action Drama
Director Tong Hui has a peculiar idea in mind these days. His latest film, The Deadline, has a trailer running online ahead of its release this week in China following its premiere at the 11th Chongqing Youth Film Festival late last year.
Billed as China’s first one-take actioner, The Deadline, is set during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, and follows a band of death row prisoners thrust into a suicide mission while waiting for the arrival of the “Autumn Queen”. The film stars Luo Liqun, Huang Xiaochao, and Liu Guanqi.
