THE FORBIDDEN CITY Shines With Action And Romance In The Official U.S. Trailer!
One of the best epic modern martial arts dramas ever made is coming to Digital to kick off the Spring in the U.S. with Gabriele Mainetti’s The Forbidden City. The film stars actress and stunt performer Yaxi Liu in a breakout role following her stunt work on Disney’s Mulan, and she’s joined by actor Enrico Borello as her romantic opposite, with action sequences by Liang Yang whose work on this film is an absolute showstopper.
From Gabriele Mainetti, director of They Call Me Jeeg Robot and Freaks Out, comes the action-packed tale of two strangers seeking the truth and vengeance. Mei arrives in Rome looking for her missing sister and, along the way, meets Marcello, who is desperate to find his father. Together, they will fight their way through the Roman underworld. Filled with lightning-paced martial arts, The Forbidden City is an action epic not to be missed.
Also starring are Sabrina Ferilli, Marco Giallini, Shanshan Chunyu, and Luca Zingaretti. The Forbidden City is coming to Digital on March 17 from Well Go USA.
