THE FURIOUS: Xie Miao And Joe Taslim Cross Hands In The Latest Clip

Kenji Tanigaki’s The Furious opens in theaters in the U.S. and the world over on the week of June 12. That means the campaign is picking up the pace with Lionsgate doling out some goods ahead of the film’s release, including a new action clip that premiered on Thursday.

The clip showcases actors Xie Miao and Joe Taslim in a key fight scene midway into the film. Kensuke Sonomura (Baby Assassins trilogy) served as action choreographer on the film, which ought to lend some perspective out there for those of you who know Sonomura’s work.

That work here gets attributed in The Furious to the story of a simple tradesman thrust into the underworld in search of his daughter after she’s brutally kidnapped by a criminal organization. During his scrimmages, he crosses paths with an undercover journalist looking for his wife whom he suspects was taken by the same suspects.

Also starring are Joey Iwanaga, Brian Le, and Yayan Ruhian, along with Yang Enyou, Sahajak Boonthanakit, and Jeeja Yanin.

Check out the clip below, and bookmark this tag for previous and current coverage on The Furious, including an upcoming interview with Sonomura, as well as one of the film’s co-stars, and my review of the film.
