THE HIT LIST: December 3, 2018

Well how about that. Holiday break is almost here! I’m actually looking forward to some extra time to myself seeing as I’ve missed out on so much in the course of the year – I even had to put some anime on the backburner too…and kinda sucks. ?

Clockwise from top left: Jen Mitchell, John Francis McCullough, Natalie Strasser, Nate Weston, Alyma Dorsey, Tien Hoang, Rosaleigh Hernandez, David Armstrong, Roxanne Roca, Connor Simon.

Time to promote some shorts and first up is one from Trent Duncan, best known for his recent ‘Epic Horror Battles’ on YouTube. His latest narrative short, Fallout Of The Reaper, is currently circulating festivals with a raft of wins from at least two fest runs, including Best Film and Best Action four other wins from the 30 Day Action Film Challenge. The logline: Agent Kay (Kara Michele) is interrogated by the CIA as she tells her story of enlisting the worlds most notorious spy to take down an international terrorist and diffuse a nuclear warhead.

Above is the short’s poster. A clip from the shortfilm can be viewed in the playlist below courtesy of Anthony Giovanni Elias, who serves as co-star and fight choreographer next to stunt coordinator Tony DeLeon. The playlist continues further with a trailer for Liam Forrest’s The Withdrawal, Moving Colors’ The Target, the trailer for Choice Skinner’s award-winning Black Lighting fan film ahead of its December 24 release, and debuting actress Angela Jordan as the Green Ranger, the newest promo for the upcoming second installment of Power Rangers: Unworthy from Deviant Children Productions and Kamen Ramen.

Glen Michael and Ji San get the action going for this week’s fights and films courtesy of Y.B. Action, before the aforementioned Johnny X. Wang sets boundaries for Shan Y Chuang’s name in No Pass. Next up are Filmstro/Film Riot online entries, Harry Conreen’s Less Than A Minute and Nicholas Winter’s Retrograde, followed by Lauren Edmunds and Aaron Gassor’s in an epic holiday battle between Mr. and Mrs. Claus, and Finn Jones’ principal Iron Fist stunt double, actor and martial artist David Armstrong front and center with a stunt pre-viz concept via Aaron Toney’s YouTube channel.

Rounding out the playlist is a late entry from the summer with star and director John Francis McCullough’s July action comedy, The Accomplice, with Shaun Bolen, Mila McCoy and Adrian Galvan.

Enjoy the hits!
