THE NIGHT COMES FOR US Tweets More Choreo Action Via Twitter

The official Twitter campaign page for director Timo Tjahjanto‘s currently developing action thriller, The Night Comes For Us just launched a day ago after the film’s latest push for an open casting call in Indonesia. And today, the account is now host to its first pre-production choreography photo with its stars, lead actor Joe Taslim and Yayan Ruhian which you can view below.

The new photo is also the latest of slow and steady updates on the film’s progress through social networking since November last year, teasing bits of the film’s fight work designated to action director Gareth Evans, with Iko Uwais serving as fight choreographer. The film, described as a story of vengeance and redemption, is set to begin its mid-Spring shoot for a 2015 release, with Taslim starring as Ito, a gangland enforcer newly arrived home to his crime family in Jakarta only to be caught in a web of treachery and chaos as the local Triad prepares its bloody campaign for expansion.

Aside from Taslim and Ruhian, fans may receive some additional official female casting news in the weeks ahead. For now, we’re left only with a few new exciting teaser bits sure to come our way in the next few months.

The film is produced by Evans‘ company, Merantau Films, and international sales group and production company, XYZ Films, who have since sold North American distribution rights to Radius/TWC, with other news pending. The two companies are also host to the forthcoming releases of martial arts epics, Toa Fraser‘s recently wrapped Maori period thriller, The Dead Lands, and the multi-territorial March 28 release from writer and director Evans and star Uwais, The Raid 2, followed by XYZ’s handling of franchise’s upcoming U.S. remake of the first with helmer Patrick Hughes.

Meanwhile, Tjahjanto‘s latest co-directorial offering with fellow “Mo Brother”, collaborator and filmmaker Kimo Stamboel for the new murder suspense horror thriller, Killers, has a new home in the U.S. at Well Go USA for a planned late 2014 release.
