You might have heard of Ho Chi Minh-based film-fighting and stunt training label Action C in the last several years if you follow action actors. They’ve been building their brand plentily since 2020 with a number of projects, including one that just screened for Haymaker earlier this month in Utah…

Feel free to put a pin in that last sentence as we now move forward to the group’s latest effort now on the feature front with action comedy, The Search For Long Dien Huong; This is really the only title I’m going with per what Google Translate resolves for me since there’s no official English title available, at least until further notice.

Set against the backdrop of Binh Thuan fishing province where the movie was filmed, the story follows two brothers suddenly thrust into a harrowing, martial arts-packed adventure to help a village retrieve its stolen Ambergris, or “heavenly gift,” before it gets sold on the black market.

The Search For Long Dien Huong is directed by Action C founding member Duong Minh Chien with a cast that lists Quang Tuan, Ma Ran Do, Nguyen Thao, Hoang Toc Dai, Doan Quoc Dam, Quoc Nam, and Tuan Voi. There will be special screenings a few days prior to the film’s main theatrical rollout in Vietnam on November 14 from CGV.
