The Stunt People Cross Knives And Fisticuffs In A Brutal Pre-Viz Clip For A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD

You may recall a little film recently released called A Good Day To Die Hard directed by John Moore and starring Bruce Willis reprising the classic role of New York City cop and reluctant anti-terrorist agent of the world, John McClaine who always happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. The film also starred Jai Courtney as his son, who happened to be a government spy working in Russia as dad drops into get him out of trouble.

As it turns out, prior to the release of the film, the creative process kicked in, and certain scenes got cut out of the movie. One scene cut from the movie in particular would have involved a bloody rooftop Krav Maga style knife fight, choreographed by Eric Jacobus and Alvin Hsing, two members of the premiere martial arts action film stunt company, The Stunt People, along with award winning stunt coordinator and fight choreographer J.J. Perry (Haywire, Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing) over at the 8711 Action Design Team stunt gym. Eric and Alvin previously showed their skill and technique in the brutal and bloody knife fight in the independent martial arts action film, Death Grip, a co-production with Action Pact Entertainment, which is probably what made them great candidates to help pre-vizualize what probably would have made a great addition to the film.

Check out both clips below and see for yourself. And click HERE to read my review of Death Grip where you can find the link to purchase the film directly from Eric Jacobus, now available on DVD and Blu-Ray. A Good Day To Die Hard will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray this June.
