THE WAVES OF MADNESS Trailer: Jason Trost’s Lovecraftian DIY Indie Horror Thriller Now Available On Blu-Ray And Digital
Currently available on Digital and Blu-Ray from Umbrella Entertainment is The Waves Of Madness, starring and directed by Jason Trost who is best known for The FP trilogy and All Superheroes Must Die. The film last won Best Thriller Feature and Best Cinematography during its festival stop at the ninth edition of Nightmares Film Festival last Fall.
The story follows a lone special agent investigating a distress call from a global cruise ship, only to find it eerily abandoned, crawling with warped creatures, and haunted by a reality-bending force that threatens to shatter his mind.
The Waves Of Madness is billed as “the world’s first side-scrolling film,” shot for just $20,000 in a single studio apartment with a crew of three. Bookending with post-production using Final Cut Pro along with practical effects, in-camera trickery, and hand-built digital matte
backgrounds, the result is described as a groundbreaking, DIY Lovecraftian horror epic which takes independent filmmaking to task, and won multiple awards as a result.
