The new trailer is out for the film based on author Kim Parker’s 2011 publication, “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days In Afghanistan And Pakistan” with none other than SNL mainstay, actress and comedian Tina Fey spearheading the antics, and not knowingly as a direct response to the overall grim nature of news coverage on all the things happening in the Middle East to date, but this is surely a film that adds a touch of brightness and much-needed laughter in the process. No argument here.
An adaptation of journalist Kim Barker’s wartime memoir. The film tells of Barker’s arrival as a fish-out-of-water in Kabul, filing stories about militants, being a woman in wartime Iraq and Pakistan, dealing with boredom interspersed with dashes of violence and the promiscuous war correspondent culture.
Fey is joined by Suicide Squad co-star Margot Robbie along with Martin Freeman, Alfred Molina and Billy Bob Thornton. Watch the trailer now.
