TOXIC – A FAIRY TALE FOR GROWN-UPS Gets An Absolutely Unhinged Lead Character Teaser!
Geetu Mohandas’s new action crime spectacle is setting sale this year with Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups. The film has a new character teaser out now signaling leading man Yash in the lead role as part of the film’s campaign over at KVN Productions for the actor’s birthday.
Set in a bygone era, this gripping tale unfolds in the coastal paradise of Goa, where a powerful drug cartel pulls the strings behind a facade of sun-soaked beaches and vibrant culture.
That’s all we’re getting from the logline, but if you’re looking for something more colorful, check out Yash’s character teaser below. There seems to be a mob funeral abruptly thrown off by a car crash with a drunk behind the wheel who also seems sober enough to setup an explosive ambush involving post-coital Yash leaping out of the car and mowing down a bunch of armed goons…
And that’s just a whiff of what’s to come. It’s edgy, ridiculous, and characteristic of Indian action that’s ripe for the taking, with sequences by J.J. Perry (Day Shift, John Wick franchise), and Indian National Film Award-winning action directors Anbariv (K.G.F. films, Game Changer) and Kecha Khamphakdee (Baaghi franchise).
Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown-Ups was filmed in simultaneously in Kannada and English, and dubbed versions are planned for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and additional languages. The movie opens on March 19.
