TRON: ARES: Jared Leto Goes Rogue In The Official Trailer!

Disney just unveiled its official trailer for Tron: Ares, the latest contribution to the celebrated cult IP this time from director Joachim Rønning. Building off of much of what we saw back in April, this time the footage introduces leading man Jared Leto in the title role for a film that plays heavily into current and trendy topics like A.I. and the dangers thereof, and those dangers eventually take grand shape here.

Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with A.I. beings. The feature film is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, with Gillian Anderson, and Jeff Bridges. Sean Bailey, Jeffrey Silver, Justin Springer, Jared Leto, Emma Ludbrook and Steven Lisberger are the producers, with Russell Allen serving as executive producer.

Tron: Ares also stars Greta Lee, Evan Peters and returning actor Jeff Bridges. The film opens in theaters and IMAX on October 10.
