From short film concept to sweeping feature success at numerous festivals, director Kenichi Ugana’s latest horror romp, Visitors: Complete Edition has a brand new trailer now making the rounds for its February 23 Japan release via horror label Extreme. The film stars Ryuta Endo, Shiho and Keisuke Nomura, along with Saki Hirai, Haruki Itabashi, and Kento Miura, with a cameo appearance by Troma stalwart Lloyd Kaufman.
Haruka, Nana, and Takanori visit the home of Souta, a band member they have lost contact with. However, Souta’s house has an eerie atmosphere with newspapers covering all the windows, and there is something strange about his behavior. Then, Nana, guided by a mysterious power, removes an ominous bill that is pasted at the back of the room,
A door to another world opens…
Several months later, a music producer Kousuke wakes up to find himself tied up in a bar he doesn’t recognize. A stranger, Ren, was lying nearby. Kosuke desperately calls out to Ren, but… In a world where another world has opened up, Haruka and Kousuke meet and visit that house again.
This one’s got its own domestic release title that’s different from the one aforemtioned, but it’s definitely the same flick. The artwork itself really grabs the attention too.
