[UPDATED] Warner Bros. Has Auditioned Action Hero Scott Adkins For The Role Of BATMAN In 2015

Cue the madness!!!!!

Actor and martial arts action star Scott Adkins has grown an increasingly huge fan base for his roles in films such as Black Mask 2: City Of Masks starring opposite Andy On, and even taking on Jackie Chan in the 2003 film, The Medallian and Jet Li in the 2005 film, Unleashed. Adkins also made a major name for himself while working with directors like Isaac Florentine, Simon West and Ernie Barbarash on films like Assassination Games, Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing, Undisputed 3: RedemptionNinja, The Expendables 2 and the limited theatrical release of the John Hyams-directed Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning, which became a major film festival hit late last year up to its limited theatrical release.

Well, it seems that the past decade of hard work, dazzling screenfighting fans worldwide is finally paying off, as word of actor Christian Bale’s absence from the Batman franchise has blown an opportunity wide smack open for Adkins to leave an impression for Warner Bros. to now consider casting a full blown martial arts action star for the first time ever in the role of Bruce Wayne for Zack Snyder‘s live-action feature follow-up, Batman vs. Superman.

Currently, Adkins has at least four new films coming down the pipeline, including the Florentine-directed Ninja: Shadow Of A Tear, Green Street Hooligans: Underground from Lionsgate UK, Hercules 3D releasing March 2014, and the upcoming Hong Kong commando action flick, Warg with Jacky Wu Jing which is currently filming. Trailers for the first two are expected to arrive soon.
I’ve been a fan since I first saw Adkins in a small role on the sci-fi TV show, Mutant X many years ago, and I have been impressed with his work more and more with every project I have seen him in. I’m very proud of Scott, as I am sure a lot of my fellow readers are. And the man who made “Boyka” a household name for every martial arts cinema fan can now stand even taller, as this will solidify Adkins’s starpower with just the blockbuster notoriety fans have wanted for him for so long.

Congratulations Scott!
