The JUSTICE LEAGUE Is Coming!
Well, it’s official. Director Zack Snyder is putting his best foot forward with DC and Warner Bros. for a Justice League film that will follow the long awaited release of the Man Of Steel 2/Batman vs. Superman movie which is still awaiting an official title. The news just broke late in the weekend following previous reports of the second film’s push back from its initial July 17, 2015 date so that Snyder and the other filmmaker could fully realize their vision.
Casting announcements are still in constant flux, with official updates still needed regarding just how actors Jason Momoa, Matt Damon or Dwanye “The Rock” Johnson will be involved in Warner Bros. growing DC film series. In addition, there is also the issue of what will happen with other characters like Green Lantern and Flash, the latter who is currently poised for a standalone television series on the CW later this year starring Gustin Grant.
Rest assured, Warner Bros. and DC are awake to what is happening now with Walt Disney Co. and Marvel cinematic universe, in accordance with its current ABC series, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and its forthcoming programs for Netflix. And with San Diego Comic-Con on the way, fans can expect some HUGE surprises to come. In the meantime, Snyder’s next film is already set to start principal photography this summer in Michigan where hundreds reportedly lined up for an extras’ casting call.
Batman vs. Superman will see the return of Henry Cavill after leading last year’s Man Of Steel, with actresses Amy Adams and Diane Lane, and actor Lawrence Fishburne expected to reprise their roles as Lois Lane, Martha Kent and Perry White, respectively. New on the roster is actor Ben Affleck in the role of Batman, with Gal Gadot attached to the first of a previously-reported three-film deal as Wonder Woman with a standalone movie still in development. Actors Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons will portray Lex Luthor and Alfred Pennyworth, respectively; Currently rounding out the cast are actresses Holly Hunter and Tao Okamoto, and actor Callan Mulvey, in addition to the recently announced role of Cyborg to be played by actor Ray Fisher.
Both films will be shot back to back, with Batman vs Superman heading into theaters on May 6, 2016 against Captain America 3. Justice League still has no official release date.

Anthony Mackie Gets His Own Featurette And Poster For CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
On the eve of the Hollywood premiere of directors Joe and Anthony Russo‘s new film, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Marvel exec Kevin Feige finally confirmed this week that the Russo brothers’ next installation of the Captain America storyline has been slated for a May 6, 2016 release date, officially pitting the film against Zack Snyder’s still-scripting Batman/Superman movie. It was also confirmed that co-star Sebastian Stan has a nine picture deal with Marvel that oddly out weighs that of lead Chris Evans‘ by just six, which does leave open the possibility for some interesting developments for the standalone film franchise as the Marvel Cinematic Universe continues onward, nonetheless.
These updates remain with more ahead as Marvel prepare for the North American release of Captain America: The Winter Soldier on April 4, 2014. Evans and Stan are also joined by Anthony Mackie who has a brand new featurette at the very top of the page, in addition to a brand new stylish poster in a slate of new character posters for the cast that were spotted in Los Angeles earlier this month.

Gal Gadot Set To Star As Wonder Woman In BATMAN VS SUPERMAN
It’s been a busy day in movie news, particularly in the superhero movie department. Long after at least one failed television show with another barely seeing the light of day, fans and followers of DC Comics’s efforts to bring forth the sequel to the 2013 blockbuster Man Of Steel have been clamoring over whether or not Wonder Woman would appear in the film, and if so, which actress would qualify to play her. Backing the widespread fan anticipation was the voice of Warner Entertainment CEO Kevin Tsujihara who told The Hollywood Reporter back in October “We need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV.”
Well, after narrowing their search down to three actresses last month, Warner Bros. latest announcement verified that such a character belongs on the big screen in the first place, with the news that actress Gal Gadot would be playing the iconic Amazonian superheroine for Zack Snyder‘s Batman vs. Superman. Warner Bros. Pictures stated the following:
Wonder Woman/Diana Prince will make her big screen debut in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman Batman Film!
Snyder stated, “Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.”
Gadot‘s most memorable appearance as of late has been the previous three completed films of the Universal Pictures action franchise, Fast And Furious, which reportedly announced a tentative shut down of production for the seventh installation on Wednesday following actor Paul Walker’s death four days earlier. Gadot will star with the cast in the upcoming release of Fast And Furious 6 on Blu-Ray and DVD on December 10, with proceeds going to the late actor’s charitable organization, Reach Out Worldwide.
Currently titled Batman vs. Superman, Gadot will star with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, with Ben Affleck joining as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Also returning are actresses Amy Adams and Diane Lane, and actors Laurence Fishburne and Harry Lennix for a July 17, 2015 release.
