Watch Now: NIGHT OF THE DEADLY FINGER, SOCAP_404, And BOX, And A Hearty Tribute To A Departed Friend
I admit I’m cheating a little bit but today I’m inclined to share a trio of shortfilms featuring Eric Jacobus that began with last month’s release of Night Of The Deadly Finger. That shortfilm, the third in a long-awaited succession of shorts from director Jose Montesinos, was later joined by Joseph Le’s SOCAP_404 co-starring Jason Chen-Leung, and Trish Woo, and now with Box, from director Stephen Reedy and co-starring Jason Chen.
All three shorts were filmed at Jacobus’s SuperAlloy Interactive facility in Las Vegas while he was shooting a documentary project with a local crew. One key characteristic worth pointing out here is the myriad of genres being explored in all these projects. Action, comedy horror, and supernatural suspense go hand-in-hand in some form or another, and all of which, when combined with Reedy’s latest, deal out something deeply introspective and tributary. You’ll know it when you see it, and on that note, grab a snack, sit back, and watch some cinema.
