WILD LEAGUE: Adrian Paul Period Sports Drama Completes Filming

Actor and producer Alexander Nevsky confirmed the latest production of his new film, Wild League, on Monday in an interview at The Action Elite. Author, filmmaker and martial arts cinema mainstay, Art Camacho, directs with Julia Petkun (Water), featuring cult favorite, actor Adrian Paul (Highlander: The Series) along with William Shockley (RoboCop, Last Rampage).

Nevsky is producing the film with a script by Roman Vladykin and is reportedly based on real-life events at the turn of the 20th century about a lower-class migrant in Moscow who challenges the status quo in the aristocratic sport of soccer by assembling a league of his own. Camacho, who comes off co-directing indie martial arts comedy Made In Chinatown with Robert Samuels, wrapped filming last week with Nevsky posting an announcement on social media.

Wild League also marks a reunion for the producer, journalist and founder of L.A.-based Hollywood Storm whose 2016 murder mystery import, Black Rose, also saw Paul among the cast. Nevsky stars in the upcoming U.S. release of Maximum Impact, opening in select theaters on September 28.
