Xing Yu Unleashes Kung Fu Fury In THE WRATH OF VAJRA

While director Law Wing Cheong continues working on wrapping up Iceman Cometh 3D with action Donnie Yen, martial arts fans will be pleased to see the genre continue to bloom with the filmmaker’s latest period fantasy action adventure, The Wrath Of Vajara, produced by Kylin Network and Ningxia Film Group.

The film stars 34 year old Xing Yu (a.k.a. Shi Yanneng) a former shaolin monk who has already dazzled audiences on stage and in several films, including Fatal Contact, Flash Point, Ip Man, and twice with veteran action performer and director Xin Xin Xiong in Once Upon A Time 3 and Shaolin to name a few.

The film will also see him reunite with fellow Ip Man co-star Hiroyuki Ikeuchi, along with an international cast featuring Zhang Yamei, international action legend Yasuaki Kurata, pop singer and homeward-bound South Korean native Yoo Seung-jun, 7-foot tall Jiang Baocheng and b-boy dancer Poppin Hyun-joon.

Legendary action director Sammo Hung reportedly implemented a versatile approach when it came to the choreography, pitting Shaolin Kung Fu against several styles such as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate and Western Boxing.

The Wrath Of Vajra is slated for release sometime this summer. Stay tuned for a release date.
