ZERO DAY ATTACK: Don’t Miss The Explosive Official Trailer For The New Taiwanese Political Drama Series
The journey has been long for Taiwanese political thriller series, Zero Day Attack, since development back in 2022. Cameras rolled last summer with screenwriter and producer Cheng Hsin-mei shepherding the new drama with Lin Shih-ken exec producing.
Alas, the official trailer finally arrived this week following a spell of teasers in previous months to help percolate interest. The hour-long ten-episode drama stars Issei Takahashi, Chapman To, and Asami Mizukawa, along with Kaiser Chuang, Chen Yuu, Akira Chen, Yu An-shun, and more.
Zero Day is a dramatic exploration of human nature and political intrigue under the shadow of war.
The story imagines that after the presidential election, the acting president continuously provokes, triggering an escalation in the Taiwan Strait situation as China expands its military exercises. With increasing turmoil on the island, the critical moment of Zero Day, when the People’s Liberation Army lands, approaches. The weak president faces the crucial decision of whether to formally declare war. As the PLA advances and support from the United States, Japan, and South Korea awaits, everyone on the island must decide the fate of their future.
The show bows in Taiwan on August 2, followed by August 15 on Amazon Prime Japan. Talks are reportedly underway for distribution in the U.S..
