THE TRANSPORTER Set To Take Off Again With A New Trilogy
Jason Statham made a name for himself as Hollywood’s next answer to delivering martial arts action cinema to the big screen with the release of the 2002 smash hit, The Transporter. Following two more sequels, in addition to a French-Canadian television series of the same name starring Chris Vance as of recent, reports are now coming in from Variety that Luc Besson’s company, EuropaCorp, has partnered with Mark Gao’s China-based Fundemental Films to produce and finance another trilogy of Transporter movies.
Transporter 4 is currently in development with no director attached as of yet, and no word as to whether or not Statham will don the black suit and tie once more for the role. Meanwhile, Besson is currently involved in the Montreal-based production of Brick Mansions starring Paul Walker and David Belle.
