With the Marvel Cinematic Universe now venturing into its third phase and Netflix still heating things up, it’s only fair our heroes in ABC’s
Agent Carter get the same growth.
Hayley Atwell wholly steals the screen in the title role for the first film and its subsequent show, and nearly in the same capacity on social media throwing Dubsmash jabs at her fellow Marvel ilk between Comic-Con appearances and such, so it’s safe to say Marvel’s made the right decision here.
Thus, with a second season now looming as of May, we finally get to sample just a piece of the bustling life of our newly relocated heroine. And of course she won’t be alone with James D’Arcy back as Edwin Jarvis and actors Chad Michael Murray as Agent Jack Thompson and AMC’s Preacher star Dominic Cooper back in the early years as Howard Stark, with cult favorite thesp Kurtwood Smith also getting in on the intrigue.
SYNOPSIS:
Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.”
Even though Peggy will be moving from one coast to another, James D’Arcy and Enver Gjokaj will reprise their roles as Peggy’s begrudging sidekick, Edwin Jarvis, and her coworker, Daniel Sousa, though it appears that Sousa will now be her boss. The new season will also feature Madame Masque as an antagonist.
