BORA Trailer: Tiffany Toney Sets The Rules In The Sultry New Crime Thriller
More than a year after launching a crowdsourcing campaign for their latest film, Bora, the production now has an official trailer to show for their efforts. Actress Tiffany Toney sits at the helm to co-direct with Andre McCoy, from a script she wrote and exec produced for, and for the title role in which she herself stars, alongside Ajima Cole for the provocative new crime thriller.
A naïve young woman sets out on a road trip to find herself on The Day Of The Dead. After befriending a seductive hitchiker, things take an unexpected turn and she discovers more than what she bargained for. Will she find herself, or will BORA seduce her, costing her everything she’s ever known to be real?
Also starring are Duain Richmond, Omar Gooding, Noel G., Gichi Gamba, James M. Black, Joan Moten and more, with Toney also performing music from composer Jason Betts for the film’s original soundtrack. That’s especially a lot of work to account for which explains why the film needed more than a year to finish; Culminating a production that’s undoubtedly seen its share of hurdles, Toney also tells me the film needed to be remade, that is, except for one scene, which should make for some very interesting Q&A material.
Bora is currently picture-locked with post-production still underway, as are distribution talks. The official website is also running for BoraTheMovie.com now hosting available merchandise for anyone who is interested in supporting the project.
