CAN I KICK IT?: Shaolin Jazz Returns In October With ENTER THE DRAGON!

Gerald Watson and DJ 2-Tone Jones, better known as their prolific stage moniker, Shaolin Jazz, are returning for more thrilling kung fu entertainment with this year’s seventh installment of Can I Kick It? in Wilmington, North Carolina next month. The hip-hop duo will be on hand to apply their own ambient score for audiences, this time for a screening of action legend Bruce Lee’s 1973 classic, Enter The Dragon. The screening is presented in collaboration between the North Carolina Black Film Festival, Speller Street Films, and Black Kung Fu Cinema. It’s all about D23 this weekend with news and events pouring out, including and not limited to the additions of Florence Pugh (Don’t Worry Darling), Sebastian Stan (Fresh), David Harbour (“Stranger Things”) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Downhill) for the production of Marvel’s Thunderbolts, according to Variety‘s E.J. On Wednesday, IGN proudly presented the official trailer for Accident Man: Hitman’s Holiday, the latest debut from film duo Harry and George Kirby. The film is based on the hit graphic novel and once again sees Scott Adkins back in the title role for a sequel that, in some ways, went above and beyond the call of duty, and for all the effort put in, the trailer hints at a film that looks ripe for the occasion. Actor Jung Woo-sung’s feature directing debut, A Man Of Reason, has been acquired by Epic Pictures Group ahead of its world premiere as part of the Special Presentation section of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival this month. The film will have an early 2023 release in North America via the company’s Epic Releasing label. In A Man Of Reason, Jung plays Soo-hyeok, an ex-con looking to restore himself to a normal life after a decade in prison, especially after learning he’s the father of a young girl. His efforts to cut ties with his gangland past are unsuccessful, worsened by his former boss, who then begins questioning Soo-hyeok’s loyalty and using his newly discovered daughter as leverage. ADAGIO: Stefano Sollima Finishing Off Roman Crime Trilogy With New Revenge Thriller Now Underway

Writer/director Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day Of The Soldado, Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse) is in Rome currently filming Adagio, a new crime thriller rejoining him with actor Pierfrancesco Favino. Cameras began rolling on September 5 according to Variety’s Nick Vivarelli, with a story and screenplay written by co-scribe Stefano Bises (Gomorrah, ZeroZeroZero). Plot details are underwraps on the pic while it is known that Sollima is aiming with Adagio to cap off his Roman crime trilogy, following his 2012 riot unit crime drama, All Cops Are Bastards (A.C.A.B.), and his 2015 gangster thriller, Suburra, both which starred Favino. Well Go USA Snatches PROJECT WOLF HUNTING For October Release

Deadline‘s Andreas Wiseman is reporting that Well Go USA has acquired writer/director Kim Hong-sun’s new action horror thriller, Project Wolf Hunting. The announcement comes just over a day before the official kick-off of the 47th Toronto International Film Festival, with the film set for select screenings beginning this Friday, and continuing through next week. The film opens in South Korea on September 21, with Well Go USA launching the film stateside beginning October 7.
