Highland Film Group is proudly revealing a first look at actor Avan Jogia’s directorial debut, Door Mouse, which you can view above. Cameras recently wrapped on the neo-noir thriller which stars Hayley Law (CW’s “Riverdale,” Netflix’s “Altered Carbon”), Keith Powers (The Tomorrow War, Straight Outta Compton), Famke Janssen (Redeeming Love, When They See Us, X-Men) and Donal Logue (The Cloverfield Paradox, Zodiac). FORTRESS: First Look At Bruce Willis Action Thriller From Highland Film Group

Hailed as the first in a trilogy, the recent wrap of principal photography in Puerto Rico for action thriller, Fortress, is here to underscore its milestone with a first look photo to view above. Willis reunites with fellow Hard Kill cohort Jesse Metcalfe, with actor Chad Michael Murray also starring for the James Cullen Bressack-directed pic. The story revolves around a top-secret resort for retired U.S. intelligence officers. A group of criminals led by Balzary (Murray) breach the compound, hellbent on revenge on Robert (Willis), forcing the retired officer and his son (Metcalfe) to save the day. Fortress was written by Alan Horsnail, and is produced by Randall Emmett and George Furla, Luillo Ruiz and Chad A. Verdi, and is exec produced by Tim Sullivan, Nick D’Angelo, Caesar Richbow and Danny Chan. Highland Film Group is selling the pic internationally.

RUPTURE: A Rear View Look At Mark Strange In Upcoming Sci-Fi Action Thriller

Production has long since wrapped about a week ago for Ranjeet S. Marwa’s new action thriller, Rupture, which is now in post-production. The team have been steadily rolling out stills from the film featuring starring actor and martial artist Mark Strange (Ip Man 4: The Finale, Redcon-1), the latest of which you can tap to enlarge above, courtesy of production. Production on Rupture comes following completion months ago on Marwa’s dark dystopian survival thriller indie, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, which could roll out later this year or early next, acquisition news pending. Currently underway is principal photography for The Good Neigbor, director Stephan Rick’s English-language reincarnation of his own German 2011 thriller which has a new first look photo above. Highland Film Group is selling the film internationally with actors Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Luke Kleintank starring from a script Rick wrote with Ross Patridge. When the dead girl’s sister shows up to investigate, David, overcome with guilt, wonders if he can find redemption while Robert is determined to bury the past and keep his new friend for himself, no matter the cost. The Good Neighbor is being produced by Dean Altit (Misfits) and Yulia Zayceva (WarHunt). CAA is repping the film domestically.

Marwa as post-production stayed onward for his new movie, Exiled: The Chosen Ones, and I’ve learned just a few tidbits about the project and even gotten to take a look at some of the action. Actor, filmmaker and stunt professional Aaron Toney revealed two new images over the weekend for his upcoming independently-produced pilot, Project H, which you can view in the captioned images above. Toney made the reveal in a new Indiegogo campaign launched several days ago to help crowdfund the pilot’s post-production, after completing a five-day production slate spanning a month from mid-March. The campaign ultimately achieved its goal of $2000, having since broken past the $3600 mark (as of this article) which could potentially be used as funds toward another episode or to provide means to trek the concept to various marketplaces virtually, and help him and his team expand his reach. The last twelve hours have been more than irking for anyone who’s been following the stars of the new Mortal Kombat movie on social media, but we now have a new look at exclusive photos and stills from the upcoming Simon McQuoid directed reboot thanks to an exclusive piece on Friday from reporter Nick Romano at Entertainment Weekly. The report highlights a ten minute sequence introducing a “blood universe” of sorts, that begins with the history of characters Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim) and Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), followed by a look at starring actor Lewis Tan who plays an original character named Cole Young, a down-on-his-luck fighter with a mysterious birthmark in the shape of the titular MK logo that connects him to these characters of the game, and ultimately, the tournament.
