CRAZY SAMURAI MUSASHI Lands An August Release, And A New Poster With Kento Yamazaki!

Actor and action star Tak Sakaguchi’s proliferation continues no less than Thursday’s unveiling of an official poster for Crazy Samurai Musashi. The official release date in Japan will be on August 21, whereby fans of the action star can undoubtedly expect to hear more on the film’s progression in the international circuit through 2021. Next to rejoining long time colleagues Sakaguchi and filmmaker/stunt maestro Yuji Shimomura, the film also signals a few more cast additions, namely the prospective billing of Sakaguchi’s Kingdom protagonist, actor Kento Yamazaki. An international trailer also began making the rounds as well through an extended intro video by way of the Wiiber YouTube channel last month. This film, taken around the time of “Out and Deluxe,” consists of the most famous battle of the swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Here’s a fact worth facing: Covid-19 isn’t a hoax. Want another fact?… Were it not for this disease spreading throughout the world and killing thousands of people, filmmakers like Ranjeet S. Marwa would already be closer to the start of his own latest endeavor, Blood Rush. Already having to scale back on that prospect, he’s moved onto another with independent documentary, Covid-19: The Impact On Asian Cinema, and even throwing in a bloody new poster, which, to say the least, speaks some truth as to the leaders of the world like Agent Orange who’ve enabled this crisis so needlessly. CRAZY SAMURAI MUSASHI: Tak Sakaguchi Is A One Man Army In The Latest Sales Art Visual

It’s been the longest time coming for Tak Sakaguchi’s recent pairing with Yuji Shimomura, the now internationally titled Crazy Samurai Musashi. Production has seen more than its ample share of behind-the-scenes drama that have thankfully borne little affect on the carefully-played hand Sakaguchi dealt in the years since then. With extensive shoots and post-production in its wake along with a teaser last summer, Crazy Samurai Musashi now dons its first official world sales poster which you can view below. Plot details are nil though the teaser still pretty much speaks for itself as does the tagline in the artwork: 400 vs. 1 IN A SINGLE TAKE Yeah, I’m keen. One key ingredient when pitching projects at any film market usually includes some kind of concept art. Bleiberg Entertainment is in Berlin with their own package which also consists of William Kaufman’s latest, Vigilante, which wrangled through a ton of unease earlier this month when fan sites spilled the beans. With baited breath, fans rejoiced when they learned of the return of actor Takeru Satoh as the famed ‘Battousai’ in Keishi Otomo’s newest live-action pivot, Rurouni Kenshin: The Final/The Beginning – a two part saga that ventures into the mystery of our titular reverse-bladed samurai’s scar, and his battles with a nefarious arms trader. On Friday morning, Japan offered the world it’s biggest glimpse yet with a short teaser which you can check out above. Director Joe Begos had good and solid reason to be as exhilirated as he was on Monday. The filmmaker behind the new siege thriller, VFW, just shared the latest hand-painted poster which you can view below, and it arrives just as our own review of the movie went live this morning. Stephen Lang, Fred Williamson and William Adler headline the new horrific thriller in which a band of aging war heroes find themselves cornered in their veterans’ pub, forced to defend themselves against an army of mutant drug-addicts, and a ruthless crimeboss who wants his missing load back at any cost. Also starring are Sierra McCormick, Tom Williamson, Travis Hammer and Dora Madison, and with a release this Friday from RLJE Films in association with Fangoria and Channel 83.

F9: The First Poster Signals The Ninth Installment Of ‘The Fast Saga’ Ahead Of Trailer Launch

The first official teaser poster is live for the ninth installment of Universal’s five-billion dollar success story, The Fast Saga. The poster comes ahead of the first trailer which arrives on Friday after 3pm EST/12pm PST, following a star-studded concert billed as ‘The Road To F9’. Justin Lin is back at the helm with actor Vin Diesel leading a cast that fans can expect will be a mix of new faces and regulars, including Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson and John Cena to name a few. THE SUN DOES NOT MOVE: Thrilling Espionage, High-Speed Pursuits And Tatsuya Fujiwara…In A Box!

Gentosha’s Kazuhiko Takano book series is where the bet is at for Assassination Classroom 1 & 2 helmer Eiichiro Hasumi with The Sun Does Not Move. Tatsuya Fujiwara, fresh off of his latest title outing in manga adaptation threequel, Kaiji: Final Game, leads the espionage adventure thriller based on two books from the aforementioned series. Penned by Tamio Hayashi, Fujiwara is joined by Ryoma Takeuchi as agents of industrial spy organization “AN Tsuushin”, who find themselves up against a conspiracy involving a corporate and political power struggle over innovative solar energy technology. (SIDEBAR: I’m pretty sure it has something to do with whatever blip appears as a glowing dot in our protagonist’s chest, but…I digress). Also starring are Han Hyo-joo (Illang: The Wolf Brigade), Byun Yo-han (Mr. Sunshine), Hayato Ichihara (Three Nobubagas) and Sara Minami (Iwane: Sword Of Serenity) among others for the film’s May 15 release in Japan.

It only took me one whole summer to binge one of several animated shows back three years ago. One of them was the celebrared Rurouni Kenshin series, sans any OVA content, and as much as I enjoyed the arcs all around, I still haven’t gotten around to seeing the live-action films just yet. It’s definitely on my to-do list, make no mistake. Of course, far from discounting the fans who took to the festivals and the cinemas to catch the Keishi Otomo-directed trilogy between 2012 and 2014, the saga accrued about 12.5 billion yen.
