DMZ Review: Dystopian US War Drama Sets The Stage For A Transformative And Convicting Tale Of Love
I first caught HBO Max series DMZ back in April and meant to write about it then, but finally managed to revisit it over the weekend. I have to admit though, that the show is only as long as one hour for all four episodes is one of its more inviting aspects. I never read the DC Vertigo comic, and so I don’t know if that is due to duration or simply Robert Patino’s own liberties in creating the series.

Streaming Sleepers: Netflix Clocks In Ricky Ko’s TIME, Hands A Light To Chan Kin Long’s HAND ROLLED CIGARETTE
Not all the titles Netflix premieres on its platform gets a fair promo or even a spot on the Coming Soon list, which is a shame. Director Roel Reine’s latest return to martial arts and fantasy with Netflix’s Fistful Of Vengeance does a fine job of maintaining the same energy and flair of its preceding Wu Assassins series, and overall delivers largely on what fans can expect from a film headlined by Iko Uwais, an action star who broke ground more than ten years ago with some of the most elevated action cinema ever shot on camera.
