KINGDOM: RETURN OF THE GREAT GENERAL Unveils New Teaser And Poster

Coming into fruition is the newest and exciting chapter in Shinsuke Sato’s Kingdom franchise with Japan’s July release, Kingdom: Return Of The Great General. Per the basis of its story on Yasuhisa Hara’s Warring States-set manga, the new film takes off from the events of the most recent third entry dubbed Kingdom: Flame Of Destiny. That brings us to the arrival of actor Koji Kikkawa in the role of Houken, a brooding “war god” with an insatiable need to quench his thirst with the blood of the allies that once betrayed him. I’m kind of hoping Deadpool 2‘s Zeitgeist gets an appearance in Shawn Levy’s Deadpool & Wolverine. Beyond that, 2024 is a good year to be Bill Skarsgård. With The Crow and Robert Eggers’s Nosferatu on deck, it’ll be a sweet, salacious tale of vengeance as teased in the newest official trailer for director Moritz Mohr’s Boy Kills World. Burgeoning filmmaker Kaiwen Li has a new shortfilm on the horizon with psychological crime thriller, I Just Want To Be Wanted. Front and center is Chinese veteran actor Zhao Tieren who reportedly came out of retirement for the project shot on location in Dongbei last Fall, and produced by Alima Strickland. After being suddenly struck with amnesia, an old man is brought to a dilapidated house and ordered to harvest corn, by a man who claims to be his son. GOBANGIRI: A Dishonored Ronin’s Game Of Vengeance Awaits In The First Teaser

It had been circulating for about a month now, but as of Monday, Kinoshita Group’s Kino Films is making it official with their release of the first teaser for Gobangiri, the latest thrilling period drama from director Kazuya Shiraishi (The Blood Of Wolves, The Last Of The Wolves, Lesson In Murder). The film takes its cues from a longstanding rakugo which also serves as the basis for the upcoming novel releasing in March, both written by Masato Kato. Omnibus Entertainment is proudly advancing Mongolian war epic, The Princess Warrior, for a release on digital and on-demand beginning March 8.
