Wednesday was a great day to be young actor Dallas Liu upon the unveiling of the latest music video for electronic punk rock band Five Knives titled, The Future, from Red Bull Records. Directed by Lance Drake with action choreography by Mindy Kelly, the cinematic musical action short features Liu doing what he does best on screen.
For those of you who don’t know, Liu himself happens to be an accomplished award-winning martial artist and a force to be reckoned with, merited by the competitive stats and viral online footage to prove it. I myself discovered Liu earlier this year upon watching a tricking sampler from Travis Wong’s JAM Winter Gathering back in Jaunary shot and edited by martial arts documentarian and filmmaker Pierre Rulon-Miller for Pockets Out Films. He’s already well on his way up with a promising future in martial arts and acting, and whatever he chooses from here on out, and I look forward to hearing more about him in the months and years ahead.
Liu can also be seen in the currently airing seventh episode of Mortal Kombat: Legacy – Season 2, and is expected to appear in director Phillip Rhee’s upcoming family action feature, Underdogs in 2014.
