EKLO-I Teases The Beginning Of The End In The Official Trailer Ahead Of Its 2026 Release
Nepali sci-fi action is kickstarting the new year with director Pradeep Shahi’s latest, Eklo-I. The film was reportedly nabbed by Apple Entertainment for release in its home country on January 1, as well as limited theatrical releases in the U.S. and the U.K. on January 9.
Kabita Nepali, Vijay Lama, and Jamie Bacon star in the film from a script by Shahi, and featuring action sequences by Raju Tamang. Eklo-I will also have its World Premiere at the Museum of the Moving Image on December 28 according to Naman Ramachandran’s exclusive at Variety on Thursday which also sets the plot:
Set in 2090 in the aftermath of a 2030 global pandemic, the story follows astronauts returning to Earth who discover a lone survivor and mysterious guardians concealed in Himalayan caves. The Nepali word ‘eklo’ translates as ‘alone’ in English.
