Exclusive「四十九-SEEK」Clips Tease Action And Espionage In Shane Kosugi’s New Ninja Thriller!
Actor Shane Kosugi makes his feature directorial debut with the Japan release of upcoming martial arts ninja thriller,「四十九-SEEK」. Kosugi directs from a proof of concept short he crafted with main actor Kansuke Asano who stars in the movie, along with Nahana, Masaki Miura, Daisuke Kono, Mikako Yoshida, Yu Uemura, and Kane Kosugi, with action sequences and stunts by co-stars Yasuaki Ishii and Yugo Fujii.
Kyohei Aizawa (Kansuke Asano), an assassin for a covert non-governmental espionage organization called “49 – SEEK”, is grieving over the loss of his girlfriend from a tragic plane accident.
The leader of “SEEK”, Ryo Mikumo (Nahana), contacts Kyohei for an emergency mission; save a fellow agent, recover a new highly explosive liquid called “RDX@“, stop a ruthless Yakuza leader, Sojiro Kotsuki (Kane Kosugi), and his gang before they take over Japan. Although the Ninjas were thought to have disappeared…the new breed of assassins live on helping to protect Japan and all that is right; the Ninjas are coming soon!
News of the film’s commercial release here in the States and Americas the world over remains pending, as per the usual business goings-on of these roll outs. In the meantime, Film Combat Syndicate was granted a rare chance to present two exclusive clips for this film, and doing so additionally on the eve of our first interview with Shane himself which we will publish Thursday evening to coordinate with the time zones.
